Death is a reality that must surely come at a point in ones life. It is a debt we must pay at some point. However, to die is not the issue but what happens after that is of utmost importance. The Thessalonians were anxious about the dead that saint Paul had to instruct them in the truth to remain hopeful and not grieve like unbelievers, because those who die in Christ will also rise with Him.

This should be our consolation as children of God, that since we believe in Christ and live for Him we shall also be with Him in heaven when we die. We should no longer be afraid of death, but we must make effort to always prepare ourselves and be ready at all times so that when it comes we shall not have any regret, but be ready to go and be with the Lord in heaven.

Jesus in the gospel of today revealed the truth about Himself to those were in the synagogue. He went to His home town with enthusiasm and told them what His mission was and after hearing Him, they spoke well of Him, but still wondered how the son of a carpenter could have such wisdom and knowledge. They heard the truth, but it was hard for them to take it in, they felt threatened by His presence and they wanted to destroy Him.

We must strive always to be open to receive the truth and to hold unto God firmly. We must not look down on anyone who tells us the truth, but we must be ready to accept it and make the necessary adjustments that will help us to live well so as to enjoy eternal life on the last day.

Jesus came to liberate and to proclaim the Good News of salvation to the poor, to open the eyes of the blind and set the oppressed free. He came for the good of all both the Jews and gentiles, whoever believes in Him will find salvation. This is His mission, but it was hard for the people to accept it and they wanted to destroy Him.

We must follow Jesus because He is the way, the truth and life. He will never lead us astray, but will show us the way to the Father. If we live with Him and for Him here on earth, then we shall be with Him when we die. We must keep making effort to do His will so that we will enjoy eternal life in His presence on the last day.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed New week. May Jesus help you to believe in Him and to live well for Him and humanity. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Watch-Word: The Spirit of the lord is upon me. He has sent me to preach the Good news to the poor.

The truth is the truth, whether we accept it or not. Jesus is the only way to salvation and we must accept Him.
