A WORD FOR TODAY

OBEY GOD'S COMMANDMENT AND YOU SHALL HAVE PEACE

_"O that you had hearkened to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea;"(Isaiah 48:18)_

_*Obedience to God's commandment is key to living a fulfilled life here on earth. This is true because God is always happy when we do the things that please Him and bring glory to His name than when we go astray and begin to do evil. He does not hate the sinner, but He hates the sin.*_

_The prophet Isaiah reminds the people of what the Lord says, He is their Lord and redeemer and He teaches them the way to follow. Therefore, if they hearken to His voice and do what He wants they shall be blessed and things will go well for them._

_*This season of Advent is a time to change our ways and return back to the Lord whom we have offended through our acts of disobedience. Now is the time to totally submit our heart to the Lord and let Him lead us again in the path of righteousness.*_

_Anyone who follows the Lord will have the light of life, but if we fail to follow Him we will wander in darkness and will become sad and lost._

Sin separates us from God, but if we repent and return back to the Lord we shall find life and our inner joy will be restored. If we do what God wants, our light will shine and others through our light will see God and come to follow Him.

*Obedience to God at all times is the best and anyone who does it will have peace and tranquility in life.*
