A WORD FOR TODAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2020

A WORD FOR TODAY

TAKE A STAND FOR GOD AND BEAR FRUITS FOR HIM

"You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons."(1 Corinthians 10:21)

Taking a stand in everything we do is very crucial, because it will help people to identify where we belong and to whom we pay our allegiance.

By creating us, God has already shown us that He loves us and as such we must always be ready to reciprocate this love by declaring our total submission and loyalty to Him.

St. Paul tells us in the first reading of today that we cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and also drink from the cup of demons. This is not a acceptable, because Jesus has told us in Matthew 6:24, that no one can serve to masters. Therefore, taking a stand is about making a choice whom you want to follow and who controls you.

If we make the decision to stand with God, we must also be ready to focus on Him alone and not soil our hands by dining with the devil. To stand with God and also patronise or consult with demons is simply syncretism and it is not acceptable, because our God is a jealous God and He will not share His glory with any other gods.

If we belong to God and stand by Him, we will bear fruits for Him and not just any kind of fruits, but good fruits of love, peace, joy, holiness, patience, forgiveness, hope, sincerity and so on. We must let the word of God take root in us and in that way we will not yield to the temptations of the devil for us to come and serve Him.

To stand by God is the ultimate and it will bring us unlimited blessings in the end, but if we try to stand by God and also stand with the demons, we shall be the one to lose in the end.

Those who stand with God can never be disappointed or put to shame. Our Mother Mary stood with her Son and did God's will alone and she is in heaven and when we call her holy name and seek her maternal intercession, she obtains for us from God what we desire.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed day. May the choice you make to be with God bring you eternal life in the end. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Meditation: Corinthians 10:14-22/Psalm 116:12-13, 17-18/Luke 6:43-49

Watch-Word: If a man loves me, he will keep my word.

Stand with Jesus always and you will never fall, because He is the unshakable rock
