A WORD FOR TODAY

Acknowledgement and confession of our sinfulness is the best way to go in the process of obtaining mercy and forgiveness from the Lord.

God is ready and willing to show us mercy and forgiveness, if we are ready to come back to Him, repent of our sins, confess them and make amends.

One of the ways by which we shall obtain mercy from the Lord is by being merciful. It is a golden rule which we must obey if we intend to be like our heavenly Father. As We come to Him to ask for forgiveness, we must be ready to forgive others when they offend us.

You cannot expect to receive a different treatment from the Lord when you fail to treat others as you would want Him treat you. We meet people on a daily basis and sometimes they offend us, we must show them mercy as God shows to us and we shall be like our Father who is in heaven, who forgives us when we humble ourselves and seek His face.

There is nothing we gain by being wicked to others or condemn and judge them even when we are guilty of the same sin or act. If we cannot show mercy to others when they offend us, it will be very difficult for us to obtain the same mercy from the Lord.

Now is the time to start afresh. God is merciful and compassionate and we must put on the same garment of mercy in our relationship with others so that through our forgiveness they can begin anew.

If you want mercy, show mercy. God expects us to treat others as we want Him to treat us.#Be merciful in your attitude and action.
