A WORD FOR TODAY

GOD'S TIME IS THE BEST

_"And when his time of service was ended, he went to his home. After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she hid herself, saying, “Thus the Lord has done to me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.”(Luke 1:23-25)_

_*As we gradually approach the day of the celebration of the nativity of our Lord, the readings of today remind us of how God has shown Himself to us in times past. This is to make us believe in Him and to trust Him whole heartedly.*_

_In the first reading of today we see the story of the announcement of the birth of Samson by the Angel. God visited Manoah and his wife and their story changed. They waited on the Lord and he did not disappoint them. What God promised them by way of a son came to be fulfilled at the birth of Samson._

_*The story of the gospel reading about the announcement of the birth of John the Baptist is similar to that of the first reading. The Angel met Zechariah and told him that his wife Elizabeth will conceive and bear a son. The promise of the Lord also came to be fulfilled at the appointed time.*_

_The above stories will also reflect what happened at the announcement of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ to the Blessed Virgin Mary by the Angel Gabriel. First there is a visitation, then an announcement and finally a fulfilment. Before the visitation, both Zechariah and Manoah have prayed and waited upon the Lord for a child, but the Lord came at His own time._

_*God comes always to us at His own time. He visits us and when He comes He brings us Good News and good tidings. Whatever He does will be the best for us. Therefore, do not give up even when you have not received what you have prayed for, be patient and wait upon the Lord in prayers for He must surely visit you and bring you the Good News you expect.*_

_If He could do it for Zecharia and Elizabeth, He can do it for you. Remain hopeful with faith and do not be tired and you will definitely experience the manifestation of the Lord's miracle and glory at the appointed time. Surely and always, God's time is the best._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you begin your day and do have a wonderful weekend. May the Lord come to your aid and change your story of sadness to joy. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Judges 13:2-7,24-25/Psalm 71:3-6,16-17/Luke 1:5-25

*Watch-Word:* My mouth is filled with your praise, and I will sing your glory.

*God can never fail, just put your trust in Him and remain faithful. He will surely come to your aid.*
