A WORD FOR TODAY 21 DEC 2018

For someone who truly love God, the call to do good is always responded with every element of seriousness and dedication. When it came to the knowledge of our Blessed Mother Mary that Elizabeth is with a child, she did not hesitate or waste anytime to go and share the Good News in her heart with her cousin and also to assist her.

As soon as Mary and Elizabeth met, their hearts were filled with Joy and the child in Elizabeth's womb leapt for joy not just on account of Mary's visit, but more importantly because the Messiah our Lord Jesus Christ for whom John will witness for has entered into his home also.

As children of God our primary duty should be to always have Jesus dwell in us and we will be ready to share Him with others by way of witnessing and goodness. We must, like our Blessed Mother bring Jesus to all we come in contact with and in that manner we will be doing God's will.

Our presence should bring joy and peace in the heart of those who encounter us. We must not be carriers of bitterness, hatred, jealousy, wickedness, unforgiveness etc, but that of love, care, empathy, compassion, mercy, joy, peace and righteousness.

We need to always rekindle the fire of the Holy Spirit in us which we received at baptism. For when the Holy Spirit is in control in our lives we will speak good and avoid evil. Just like Elizabeth made a prophetic utterance at the visitation of our Mother Mary. We will become a channel through which God will speak to His people.

When Last did you visit someone you know or whom you heard is in need? A surprise visit to them can cheer them up and help them come alive again. If you do not have the spirit of sacrifice you will not be able to do that, but when you do it, you will not only bring joy to them, but to yourself also.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you begin this day and do have a fantastic day. May you bring Jesus to those you meet and may He send angels in human form to bring you blessings in return. Amen. And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

meditation: Song of Solomon 2:8-14/Psalm 33:2-3,11-12,20-21/Luke 1:39-45

Watch-Word: Blessed are you among women, and Blessed is the fruit of your womb!

When you are filled with the Spirit of God, you will not but speak of what the Lord wants you to say.#Drop yourself in God's hand let Him make use of you today.
