A WORD FOR TODAY

GIVE JOY AND NOT SADNESS

_"And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy"(Luke 1:43-44)_

Life is meant to be lived in a manner and way that it adds value not just to you as a person, but to all who come around you. When you live a life that touches others positively it makes you happy and it also adds joy to the heart of those who encounter you.*_

The gospel reading of today tells us the story of the visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth.(The second of the five joyful mysteries of the Rosary). She went with haste when she got the news from the Angel that Elizabeth was with child. She left everything she was doing to go and assist her because she is a woman with a good and generous heart.

We all are gifted with something that we must share with others, however if we do not possess the spirit of sacrifice, it will be very difficult to be able to let go of our time, talent, and treasure to share with others who may be in need of what we have.*_

_Our Mother Mary became a source of joy to Elizabeth's home. She brought Joy to her through her visitation and this is what the Lord expects us to be doing on a daily basis. We must bring joy to people around us and not sadness. We must constantly help one another to be happy. We must share in the joy of others and also be a pillar of support to those who are in pain, hurt and feeling sorrow in their heart. We must be the reason why they should be happy and not the reason why they should continue to be sad._

God is calling us to come and meet Him in His Son who will be born at Christmas. Strive to welcome Jesus with Joy and then be ready to share the joy with others around you. Make sure that your words and actions contribute to what makes people happy and not what makes them sad. Put a smile on someone's face today and you will heal the wounds in the heart of people with the joy you share. God has shared His love with us in His Son and we must share the love and blessings He has given us with others. Make out time from your to to honour others and add value to their life with your visit.

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May God give you the grace to use your gifts to serve Him and give others joy. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Song of Solomon 2:8-14/Psalm 33:2-3,11-12,20-21/Luke 1:39-45

*Watch-Word:* Blessed are you among women and Blessed is the fruit of your womb.

*A little bit of your time you spent to assist others will always return back to you in multiple ways as blessings. Use your time to share joy and not sadness.*
