A WORD FOR TODAY

Our God is just and He knows how to reward loyalty and those who keep His commandments and live a new life.

We see today in the first reading how God blessed Noah and his household for doing God's will. He established a new covenant with him and told him to be fruitful, to increase and multiply and to fill the earth.

In Jesus we have the fulfilment of the new covenant that God had with His people and if we are going to follow Him we must try to know Him and what His mission is also about. This will help us to walk in His ways and do the things that will bring glory to His name.

How much and how well do you know Jesus? Do you know that He is the source of every blessings that come to us. His mission was to come and die for humanity so as to redeem the world. If we intend to follow Him, we must also be willing to suffer and die with Him on a daily basis in order to rise with Him.

If there is any good to be done, keep doing it even when people do not appreciate what you do. However, be hopeful in Christ that your good works will never go unrewarded. God will definitely bless and reward every good you have done to glorify His name on earth.

The way of the cross is the way to life and anyone who wish to follow Jesus must go through that path. Remain loyal to God and you will definitely get your reward.
