A WORD FOR TODAY 22 SEPTEMBER 2020

A WORD FOR TODAY

KEEP GOD'S WORD AND YOU WILL BE BLESSED

"But he said to them, “My mother and my brethren are those who hear the word of God and do it.”(Luke 8:21)

There is nothing that endears us to the Lord, than knowing His commandments and striving every day to do what the law of the Lord directs us to carry out.

When we hear the word of God and do what it commands, we will become friends with Jesus and He will love us and come to dwell with us. Obedience to God's commandment is key to living a happy life and it makes us to find favour in His sight.

The Blessed Virgin Mary was foremost in hearing God's word and letting His will be done. We must learn from her to always say yes to whatever God reveals and to let Him take care of us and lead us in the right path.

The author of the book of proverbs in first reading of today, gives us a wonderful admonition of what to do in order to be pleasing and acceptable before the Lord. We must aim for righteousness and be just in our dealing with people. We must be humble and strive not to be arrogant.

If we are friends with Jesus, we must be ready to do what the Lord wants, we must love Him with all our heart and if we truly love Him we will not do what will make Him sad. God has shown us so much love and we must reciprocate His love by living well and by doing what His word mandates us to do. When we keep His word we shall be blessed and those who encounter us shall also be blessed.

Let the word of God dwell richly in you and have the disposition to always let God's will be done in you and you will find favour in the sight of the Lord and God will bless you richly.

Good morning dearest one Smile😊 as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May God give you the grace to listen to His voice and obey His commands Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
