A WORD FOR TODAY 23 MARCH 2019

A WORD FOR TODAY

In our quest to be alone and succeed without God we get lost and wander in sin. However, if we come back to our senses and return to the Lord, we will find a compassionate and merciful God waiting for us to return back to Him.

God's mercy is infinite and His compassion is inexhaustible. There is no need for us to continue to stay away from Him. we must return back to the Lord and ask Him for pardon and He will welcome us back and give us a new opportunity to represent Him well.

Our heavenly Father is a merciful God and He does not want us to perish in our sins. He is always looking forward to welcoming us back even when we have wandered in darkness for a long time.

The parable of the prodigal son or the prodigal Father teaches us something about God and how He treats us. The son thought that he will be happy without the father, but in the end he realised that without the father he is nothing. Our true satisfaction in this life will come from God. Therefore, if we want to be happy, we must stay close to God and obey His commandments.

Why die in sin when you have a merciful and compassionate God who is ready to forgive you and make you a new person. Make the decision to use this season of Lent to return back to Him and be set free from the power of sin and death.

We should also try to see how we can help sinners return back to the Lord by forgiving them from our heart and not wishing them to die and perish in their sins. God's mercy can handle even the worst sin that is in existence. Just come back to Him with your whole heart and everything will be ok.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful weekend. May God's mercy move you to seek to do His will always. Amen. And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
