A WORD FOR TODAY

LIVE A LIFE WORTHY OF EMULATION

_"for you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to lead a life worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory."(1 Thessalonians 2:11-12)_

_*There is nothing that inspires so much in this life than someone who is living a good life to the extent that what the individual does is not a show off of ones ego, but very sincere and honest living that moves people to look up to him or her.*_

_St. Paul in the first reading of today reminds the Thessalonians that while he was with them he worked very hard night and day not to be a burden to them as he proclaimed the gospel, but to be an inspiration in all aspects._

_He lived a life worthy of emulation and that made the people to accept the message he preached and believed in Jesus. He was upright in character and never let his guards down._

_*If we wish to make impact in people by what we do we must constantly strive to be upright in character and not just in words. Let what we say match with what we do. If we are good in the outside we must also make sincere effort to be good on the inside.*_

_In the gospel reading we see Jesus again condemn the lifestyle of the Scribes and Pharisees. Their way of life is full of hypocrisy. They appear righteous on the outside, but full of iniquity on the inside. Such a way of life can never inspire others to come to believe in Christ, but will discourage them and lead them astray._

_*We make positive impacts in people when they see us live righteously and do those things that motivates others to strive to make sincere effort in following Christ. We must constantly strive to live a good life and those who look up to us will be inspired to continue to follow Christ and do those things that will bring glory to His name.*_

_You too can become an inspiration to others in your place of work, business, community, Church, groups and associations, infact wherever you find yourself, live positively in words and actions and lives will be touched and encouraged to follow the path that leads to God always._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a beautiful day. May Jesus give you the grace to live well and inspire others to follow Him. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* 1 Thessalonians 2:9-13/Psalm 139:7-12/Matthew 23:27-32

*Watch-Word:* Whoever keeps Christ's word, in him truly love of God is perfected

*You can change lives positively, therefore be conscious of who you are in Christ and live positively always.*
