A WORD FOR TODAY 28 JULY 2022

*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*ALLOW GOD TO MOULD YOU TO BE THE BEST FOR HIM*

_"Then the word of the Lord came to me: O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? says the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel." (Jeremiah 18:5-6)_

_*Most times in life we tend to drift away from the Lord's path and walk in our own way. We refuse to connect to God and we feel that without Him we can truly stand on our own, but it usually ends in pain, agony and regret for apart from the Lord you can do nothing. (John 15:5)*_

_We learn something beautiful from Jeremiah in the first reading of today. He was instructed to go to the potter's house and he went and saw how the potter was handling the clay and the Lord said to Him that the people of Israel are like a clay in His hand and He can do with them as He wish._

_*God is our maker and He owns us. He knows all things, sees all things and He can do all things. Therefore, it will always be to our own good that we submit to Him in humility and let Him show us the path we shall follow. Do not insist on your own way, God's will is always the best for us at all times.*_

_Why insist on following the path of darkness when the Lord wants you to be in the light, why do you love to be wicked when the Lord wants you to be kind. Why hold grudges in your heart when the Lord wants you to forgive and let go. Why do you hate others when the Lord wants you to love._

_*Just like in the gospel reading, you must sort out the dirt in you so that you will be clean and ready to be with God. Do not let the dirts ruin the good in you. Sort it out and thrash it and you will be submissive to the power of God and His guidance.*_

_Always strive to follow the right path and abandon the way of evil. Give your heart to God and say to Him always, yours I am, yours I want to be, do with me whatever you will. Allow the Lord to mould you into what He wants you to be and you will be the best for Him and humanity._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a beautiful day. May Jesus give you the grace to be submissive and obedient to God. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Jeremiah 18:1-6/Psalm 146:1-6/Matthew 13:47-53

*Watch-Word:* Open our hearts, O Lord, that we may give heed to the words of your Son

*Anyone who follows God's directive will never go astray, but will inherit His kingdom on the last day.*
