A WORD FOR TODAY

WITH GOD THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY, WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY

_"but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith he said, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”(Luke 5:19-20)_

_*Situations of life could come to us at some point and there will seem to be no way out of the circumstances. However, it is also in such moments that God comes to show Himself to us and help us to overcome.*_

_In the first reading of today, the prophet Isaiah mentions that the people shall see the glory of the Lord and that God will come and save them and restore their joy, however, they have a part to play. They will strengthen the weak hands and make firm the feeble knees. This is about being strong in faith and believing that God will help you. Rise up, change your ways and God's miracle and help will come to you._

In the gospel reading we see faith in action. The men who brought the paralysed man to Jesus did not let the obstacle of the crowd to stop them from reaching Jesus. They pushed harder with faith until they pushed through.*_

_It seems they were not going to get the attention of Jesus for their friend who is in need, but they remained steadfast and persevered and it later paid off. We must never stop going to Jesus at all times, because He holds the key to our life, healing, restoration and success._

_*Never allow anything in this life to stop you from reaching to Jesus. He is always there for us and He provides for us in our times of need. Only God can do for us what we cannot do for ourselves and what others cannot do for us either, therefore, our faith should grow in Him and we shall always find joy and peace.

_Today we celebrate the memorial of St Ambrose of Milan (340- 397). He was born in Trier to a Roman family. In 374 the bishopric of Milan fell vacant and when Ambrose tried to pacify the conflict between the Catholics and Arians over the appointment of a new bishop, the people turned on him and demanded that he become the bishop himself. He was a layman and not yet baptized. Coerced by the people and by the emperor, he was baptized, ordained, and installed as bishop within a week, on 7 December 374. He immediately gave his money to the poor and his land to the Church and set about learning theology. He was assiduous in carrying out his office, acting with charity to all: a true shepherd and teacher of the faithful. He was a key figure in the conversion of St Augustine to Catholicism, impressing Augustine by his intelligence and scholarship. He died on Holy Saturday, 4 April 397. Let us learn from Him to Give God everything we have for the salvation of souls._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a splendid day and blessed New week. May God bless you, forgive your sins and restore you in all ramifications. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Isaiah 35:1-10/Psalm 85:9-14/Luke 5:17-26

*Watch-Word:* Our God will come and save us

_*Keep moving until you get to Jesus, for He alone can help you and set you free.*_
