_"And he left everything, and rose and followed him. And Levi made him a great feast in his house; and there was a large company of tax collectors and others sitting at table with them."(Luke 5:28-29)_

_*We see ourselves fall into sin from time to time. We make promises to be faithful to God and in most cases we fail to keep to the promises. Sin brings us down and when it gets hold of us, we really need God's grace to get well. To live in sin is to be sick and anyone who is sick should see a doctor and in this case we must come to Jesus for healing and restoration.*_

_The Lord tells us in the first reading through the prophet Isaiah that if we change from our evil ways and begin to do good, if we stop pointing fingers and acting wickedly, if we come to the aid of those who are afflicted and keep the Lord's Sabbath day holy, that our light will shine and we will no longer be in darkness._

_*When we fall into sin, we become slaves to it and we become darkness, but if we change and return to the Lord, He will wash away our sins and make us to become a new creation and help us to show others the path that leads to life.*_

_Levi was called by Jesus to leave his work and follow him and he rose, left everything and followed him. He was unhappy in his work as a tax collector, he knew he was doing so many things wrong, but he could not help himself, until Jesus came to save him. He said yes to Jesus' invitation and his life was transformed and renewed._

_*This season of lent is a time to follow Jesus, say yes to Him and turn around from being wicked and sinful to living a good and holy life. It is a moment to be the channel through which others who are weak and sinful in character will also come to follow Jesus as Levi did after his encounter with Jesus. Jesus came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance; come to Him today and you will be saved from the sickness of sin.*_

_Levi was transformed and he held a feast in his home in appreciation to God for the new life given to him and that became an opportunity for other tax collectors to meet with Jesus who changed his life. For us to be able to help others who are down, we must first rise and become firm and strong and we will have the stability to guide others towards their own transformation._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful weekend. May Jesus give you the grace to leave your past and begin a new life in Him. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_
