A WORD FOR TODAY

BLESSED ARE THE EYES WHICH SEE WHAT YOU SEE

_"Then turning to the disciples he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see what you see! For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”(Luke 10:23-24)_

_*It is a privilege to be born in an era when we hear about Christ and experience His presence around us. We have been redeemed through His suffering and death on the cross and we are no longer slaves to the evil one but children of the light.*_

_As we embark on this journey of preparation for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ at Christmas and beyond, we must strive to look up to Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life and learn from Him to live a holy life._

_*The prophet Isaiah in the first reading of today presents us with the image of our Lord who is coming to save us. He is the the shoot from the stump of Jesse and the spirit of the Lord rests upon Him. He shall rule His people with righteousness and justice.*_

_In his days justice shall flourish and great peace till the moon fails. He is coming to give us life and anyone who hopes in Him shall not be put to shame._

_*Jesus tells his disciples in the gospel reading that they are blessed to see what they see. He is with them and He is the one whom many prophets have longed to see and they could not see. We are blessed to have Jesus with us and we must not take it for granted.*_

_Jesus is our Lord and Master and He can do all things. He came from a very humble background, but He has become the source of our peace and joy. We must strive to open our hearts to receive Him so that we shall become a source of peace and joy to others._

_*We encounter Jesus at the celebration of the Eucharist, we encounter Him when we serve the poor, we encounter Him in the celebration of the sacraments. He is always around us but could be found by those who open their hearts to receive Him.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed day and a miraculous new month. May Jesus speak for you and may His grace help you to live well always. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.*_

*Watch-Word:* Behold, our Lord will come with power.

*Jesus is our hope in times of need, let us look up to Him with faith for He will never fail.*
