*A WORD FOR TODAY*
*CHOOSE TO DO GOOD ALWAYS*
_"And Jesus said to them, I ask you, is it lawful on the sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it? And he looked around on them all, and said to him, Stretch out your hand.”(Luke 6:9-10)_
_*There are moments in our life when we are faced with the issue of choosing between doing good or walking away. The decision we make at that point will be very vital in showing who we are in Christ.*_
_We see in the gospel reading how Jesus responded to the situation of the man with a withered hand. It was a Sabbath and he was not supposed to heal on that day according to the Jewish law. The scribes and Pharisees were watching Him to know what He will do and He healed the man._
_*He did this to show them that it is lawful on the sabbath to do good and not harm, to save life and not destroy it. He had compassion on that man and He did something to help.*_
_We must choose to do good always. We must always show compassion when we come in contact with those who are genuinely in need of our assistance._
_*To decide not to do good to someone in need because of what the law states is to go against the Lord who owns all things. We must follow the way of Christ. He knew that the pharisees will be unhappy with his actions, but He chose to please God rather than men.*_
_Whenever you notice that something is not ok, do not click ignore, try and do something to help, no matter how little and you will be like Jesus who is always ready to help us in our times of need. Do good always and you will please God and His blessings will come upon you._
_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊 as you do your work and do have a great day. May Jesus give the grace to do good always. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_
*Meditation:* Colossians 1:24-2:3/Psalm 62:6-7,9/Luke 6:6-11
*Watch-Word:* In God is my salvation and glory
_*Do good and you will be blessed by God who is the giver of every good gift.*_
