A WORD FOR TODAY

The healing of the sick and miracle of raising the dead recorded in the first reading of today did not happen by Peter's power, but simply by the power of the risen Christ made manifest by the faith of Peter who believed in Jesus and submitted himself to His authority and glory.

When Jesus was in the world he did a lot of good. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, forgave sins and raised the dead and He gave the same power to His disciples and all those who will believe in Him with the mandate to go into the world and do the things He did.

It is faith in Jesus that makes miracle to happen and our faith is meant to grow. If our faith grows we will be able to accept whatever truth that God reveals and we will not doubt Him. Following Jesus and believing in Him will make our faith to be strong and when we have a strong faith, miracles will always happen for us.

When it comes to God you do not choose what you want to believe and that which you do not want to believe. You only need to follow Him and believe in His words because they are the means to have eternal life. Therefore, remain steadfast in your discipleship and God will continue to work wonders in this life through you.

As disciples of Jesus we must be willing and ready to help at any point in time we are called to do so without grudges, because what we have or possess is God's gift to us and He can make use of us at any moment to help others who may be in need.

Dorcas used her gift to do good to the needy and help those around her and in her time of need the Lord sent Peter to come and help her. The good work we do will come to pay us back someday, therefore keep doing good because God is taking note.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a peaceful weekend. May Jesus give you the grace to follow Him without looking back. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
