A WORD FOR TODAY

In the creation account, God made man in his own image and likeness. This makes man to assume a special position in the hierarchy of all the things that God created. God blessed human beings and gave them the power to continue to take care of everyother thing He created.

God has given us a special privilege by creating us and He has honoured us by making us to be who we are. We must always acknowledge His greatness and try not to take His goodness for granted.

If we truly love God who has created us out of love, we should strive to keep His commandments and worship Him in Spirit and truth, but this is not the case. We tend to some times choose to do our own will and desire instead of God's will. We honour Him with our lips, but our hearts are far away from Him as we see in the gospel reading.

God has crowned us with magnificent beauty and glory by creating us and we must let His love for us move us to worship and praise Him everyday by living a life of love solidly rooted in His commandments. We must strive to show others the way that leads to Him and avoid doing the things that will make Him sad.

We have received God's love and we must reciprocate in love. We must strive to remain fruitful for Him in this life especially in doing good things and shining out as the light always. This is the only way we can show Him that He did not make a mistake by creating us.

God created us in love, We must strive to honour Him with our heart always for there is no one like Him in all the earth.
