A WORD FOR TODAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2022

*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*THE POWER OF FAITH CHANGES SITUATION*

_"And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof"(Luke 67:6)_

*A BEAUTIFUL STORY*

_*The gospel reading of todays presents us with a story that moves the heart of anyone who truly seeks to know God and how He relates with us. Faith was put into action and the corresponding result was miracle.*_

*IF YOU BELIEVE, YOU WILL RECEIVE*

_To have faith is to believe and when we believe in God and in His power to do all things, we shall receive what we seek and our joy will be full. He who believes without doubt will definitely receive blessings from the Lord._

*IN JESUS, WE FIND THE HELP WE NEED*

_*The case brought to the attention of Jesus today was a dire one. The man was a centurion and a commander, but he could not help his slave who was sick and at the point of death. He turned to Jesus with faith and He found the help He needed.*_

*HAVE A SELFLESS HEART*

_We must learn from the centurion not just to have faith when we pray, but to have a selfless heart that cares about the needs of others. He was a great man, but he put his greatness aside to seek for help for his servant. This is simply true love in action and such is the kind of heart that we must possess._

*BE HUMBLE AS YOU SEEK GOD'S FACE*

_*The centurion was also a man of humility, because when he saw that Jesus was truly coming to his house, he went to meet him and asked him not to come under his roof, but to only say a word and his servant will be healed. This attitude moved Jesus to see his faith, humility, care and respect. He recognized the supreme greatness in Christ and He foud the medicine that made his servant well again.*_

*WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?*

_We must have faith when we approach Jesus, but we must come with humility, because a humble heart gives Him honour and our faith will definitely change the situations and challenges we present before Him._

*IN JESUS WE MUST BE UNITED*

_*Just like in the first reading, we must strive to be united when we come together in the Church to participate in the Holy Eucharist. We must never let division be found among us, but we must receive the sacrament with faith and its healing effect will be made manifest upon us. Come to Jesus today with faith and humility and you will find the help you need.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊 as you do your work and do have a bessed day and a wonderful new week. May Jesus come to your aid and turn around that difficult situation for you. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* 1 Corinthians 11:17-26,33/Psalm 40:7-10,17/Luke 7:1-10

*Watch-Word:* Faith makes miracle to happen.

*Come to Jesus today, but come with faith and you will receive the blessings you seek.*
