A WORD FOR TODAY

IN JESUS CHRIST WE ARE SAVED AND HEALED

_"Therefore he had to be made like his brethren in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make expiation for the sins of the people. For because he himself has suffered and been tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted."(Hebrews 2:17-18)_

_*Through the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ, that is, by coming to take flesh in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, He became like us in all things, except sin. He became like us in order to redeem us and to make us to be like God. He offered himself to be wounded and killed in order to deliver us from the power of death and sin.*_

_Jesus Christ is the faithful high priest and he became like us so as to be able to make expiation for our sins. He suffered and was tempted and He is able to help us in our own times of suffering and temptations. This means that we have a friend in Jesus who can help us to stay strong and continue to live uprightly even when we are tempted to go astray and dwell in evil._

_*Jesus came into the world to show us the way that leads to God and anyone who follows Him will not be led astray. He is our salvation and our healing. He gave His life for us on the cross and by His wounds we are healed. He forgives our sins and restores our relationship with the Father.*_

_We see in the gospel reading of today how Jesus brought healing to the household of Simon and to all those who were sick who were brought to Him. He had compassion on them and healed them all. He also cast out many demons and set people free from the bondage of the evil one._

_*This same Jesus is with us today and He is still forgiving sins, healing the sick and casting out demons. If we want to experience His touch we must draw closer to Him and surrender to Him. He is ready to help us if we are ready to give ourselves to Him.*_

_We must learn from Jesus also to pray at all times. After healing the people, in the early hours of the morning, He goes to a lonely place to pray. He is constantly communicating with His Father and from Him, He draws the strength to keep doing good. Prayer is very essential and necessary for our victory over evil in this life, we must work hard and pray well and Jesus will answer us._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May Jesus bring you the healing and restoration that you seek. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Hebrews 2:14-18/Psalm 105:1-9/Mark 1:29-39

*Watch-Word:* The Lord remembers His covenant forever.

*Jesus is our healing and salvation. Anyone who comes to Him shall be saved. Stay close to Him and you will find the healing you seek, both physical and spiritual.*
