*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*GROW YOUR FAITH AND BE FRUITFUL FOR GOD.*

_"It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”(Mark 4:31-32)_

_*The greatness of an individual does not lie in height or size, but in the quality of your lifestyle. If you live a value oriented life, you will definitely be counted as great both in the eyes of man and God. God is the owner of all things and if we recognize it, we must put our faith and trust in Him and He will help us to blossom, shine and be fruitful for Him in this life.*_

_No one who is created by God will say that he or she has not been bleessed. The seed of greatness is in everyone, but if you fail to activate it, it may remain dormant in you until you leave the face of the earth._

_*In the gospel reading of today we see how Jesus told His disciples what the kingdom of God is. It is as if a man planted seed on the ground and the seed grows and produces fruits even while he is asleep and He does not know how it happens, but at the time of harvest he will come to harvest the fruits. It is also like a mustard seed which is sown upon the ground. It is the smallest seed when it was sown, but when it grows, it becomes the biggest tree and it will give shade to people and even the birds of the air will come to make nests in its branches.*_

_We have been sown like a seed in the world and we must grow to bring glory and honour to God. God has given us everything that will help us to grow and be fruitful, He makes all things to be beautiful and sweet, but if we are not growing or not bearing good fruits, it simply means that Something is wrong and we have to identify and fix it before we can bear the kind of fruit that will be pleasing to the Lord, otherwise, when the time of harvest comes, we may not be be admitted into heaven._

_*What you do with the life that God has given you matters. You may have started small or little, but consistency matters, just as the tree that is planted grows to give shade and food to the one who planted it and to the birds of the air, so are we expected to be fruitful for the Lord, by adding value to the world.*_

_Do not be discouraged in your journey of faith, no matter how small you have started growing, the major thing is to keep growing and do not despair or lose hope, just keep growing slow and steady and you will become great someday. Everything must have a beginning, nothing comes full grown, we all start very little, but you must stay focused and keep evolving and you shall get there someday. God is in the ordinary and He is our strength in weakness and He is the goodness in smallness. Make sure that in everything you do, that your faith is growing and in that way you will be at home with the Lord and you will produce abundant fruits for Him and when the time of judgment comes, you will be rewarded for the good you have done._

_*The Church was sown by Christ like a small seed, but today it has grown and continues to grow and give life to all her children. We as God's children in the Church should individually shine out as the light and others who are still in darkness will see our light and come to follow Jesus the Saviour of the world.*_

May Jesus give you the grace to work to grow the gifts in you by faith, so that the world will benefit from your goodness. *God is in you and His grace is with you, work on yourself and the seed of greatness in you will germinate and blossom and you will ad value to our world.*
