A WORD FOR TODAY

God's goodness and mercy is poured out upon anyone who believes. God does not discriminate, but let's His sun shine on all. Some of the people in the first reading of today criticized Peter for going to the uncircumcised gentiles, but in humility and with patience he replied by letting them know that it was the Holy Sporit that led Him to them so they too could be saved.

The Message of the Good News is for everyone and its proclamation is for the salvation of souls. We must not allow personal desires and sentiments to cloud our imagination when it comes to proclaiming Christ. Jesus the Good Shepherd is for everyone and we must let the world know, so that they can be saved through Him.

The gospel reading is a continuation of our reflection of yesterday. Jesus tells his disciples that He is the door of the sheep and anyone who enters by Him will be saved. He makes a distinction between the Good Shepherd and the false Shepherds. The former cares for the sheep and gives life to them, but the latter is only interested in stealing from the sheep and taking away their lives.

We must make a choice and decision of who to follow. The voice of Jesus who will lead us to pasture and help us to find life or the voice of strangers who will lead us to total destruction and death. Listening to the voice of Jesus is a responsibility we must hold dear to our hearts and we should not let anything stop us from creating a quality time to be with Him so that we may hear His voice and do what He tells us.

Today we celebrate the memorial of Our Lady of Fatima. It is a celebration that reminds us of the love Our Mother Mary has for her children which made her to appear to the three little children, Lucy, Jacinta and Francisco at Fatima in 1917 with the message that they should pray the Rosary always so that the world will be saved from damnation. Let us continue to honour Her by praying our Rosary everyday.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed new week. May the voice of Jesus always guide you in whatever you do. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Meditation: Acts 11:1-18/Psalm 42:2-3;43:3,4/John 10:1-10

Watch-Word: I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly!

The voice of Jesus cannot deceive you. Listen to Him and you will find life always.
