*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*THE TRUTH MUST BE TOLD*

_"And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Eli′sha; and none of them was cleansed, but only Na′aman the Syrian."(Luke 4:27)_

_*Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the light of the world and anyone who follows Him will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.*_

_Speaking the truth was not a problem for Jesus. He was constantly telling the people and the authorities what they need and should hear, though they try most times to supress it._

_*We see in the gospel reading of today how the people got enraged at what He said and they wanted to kill Him. He confronted them because of their lack of faith in Him as a prophet. They were too familiar with Him and they felt they know Him and His family so well for Him to become a great person and prophet. Their lack of faith in Him will cost them the blessings of healing and restoration that comes with His ministration.*_

_Until we submit ourselves in humility to God and put our trust in Him as our Lord and master, we may not be able to access the blessings He has prepared for those who trust in Him._

_*Our hearts must thirst deeper for the Lord like the deer that yearns for running stream. We must set aside our pride and ego and submit ourselves under the mighty hand of God for Him to heal us and help us.*_

_We must be ready to do what the Lord commands. Just as Naaman was healed only when he did what the prophet Elisha instructed, we must see in Jesus, the only One who can help us, therefore, we must stay humble in heart, believe in His words and totally trust in Him without doubt and He will help us._

_*Stop being stubborn and proud, humble yourself before God and you will find mercy and healing for your soul and body. Trust in God, profess your faith in Him and respect those He has placed over you to lead you in His way.*_
