*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*JESUS IS OUR HELPER*

_"He said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some. So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, for the quantity of fish."(John 21:6)_

_*In today's gospel reading we see Jesus appear again to His disciples. He continues to show Himself to them as evidence of His resurrection.*_

_Peter and the others went fishing and they laboured through the night and caught nothing, but when Jesus came, He said the word, and as they obeyed His command, they caught more than they could haul in._

_*With Jesus, miracle is an everyday thing. You will experience it in an extraordinary way, because He is our sure helper in our times of need.*_

_Do not strive in this life to go solo and abandon God. Without Him we can do nothing and achieve little or nothing, but with Him by our side we are sure to have sufficiency._

_*When Jesus comes, things will change, therefore, trust in Him and never give up. He came for Peter and John in the first reading and they had the courage to proclaim His name without fear. He came for the apostles in the gospel reading and their night of frustration was turned to joy in the morning. He will come for you and that difficult situation in your life will experience the miraculous touch of His power.*_

_The resurrection power is at work. Do not be ashamed to call upon the name of Jesus and to speak about Him, because there is no other name given to us under heaven by which we must be saved. Connect yourself, family, business, vocation, work, studies and all that concerns you to this name and you will find divine protection and breakthrough in everything you do._
