*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*HOW READY ARE YOU FOR THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN*

_"Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away before all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." (Mark 13:30-31)_

_*We came into the world as God's creatures. He made us in His own image and likeness. We are pilgrims here on earth and in the end we must all return back to our creator to give account of ourselves.*_

_When we failed God through the disobedience of our first parents Adam and Eve, the Lord sent His Son to come and die for us on the cross in order to redeem us and reconcile us with the Father. He offered one single sacrifice that has given us freedom from sin as the second reading tells us._

_*Jesus Christ finished His salvific mission and returned back to heaven and resumed His place at the right hand of the Father. From there He will return to the earth to take us with Him.*_

_In the gospel reading of today He reminds us that tribulations and difficult times will come, heaven and earth will pass away, but God's Word will be fulfilled._

_*Jesus will definitely come again, but the question today is, how ready are you to welcome Him and how ready are you to go with Him when He comes. He left us in this life to continue His mission of saving souls, how responsible have you been in this task of winning souls to Him.*_

_The things that are happening in the world could make us to become fearful and even lose hope sometimes, but when we remember that we have Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we will remain steadfast and persevere until the end, because it is only the person that endures till the end will be given the crown of eternal life._

_*For us to be ready when the Son of man comes, we must love everything that is good and run away from evil. We must forgive those who have offended us and reconcile with them. We must do charity and show more honest and sincere love to the needy. We must promote peace and learn to help the weak to become strong.*_

_We must always remember that this world is passing away and we are pilgrims, therefore, we must never allow the material things of this life, money, status, positions, authority and so on to steal our soul away from focusing on the most important thing, serving God well here on earth so as to be with Him in heaven on the last day._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you begin your day and do have a beautiful Sunday. May Jesus help you to be ready when He comes. Amen And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Daniel 12:1-3/Psalm 16:5,8-11/Hebrews 10:11-14, 18/ Mark 13:24-32

*Watch-Word:* Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.

_*To be ready for the coming of the Son of man, you must love the things of heaven more than the things of this life.*_
