A WORD FOR TODAY 15 APRIL 2019

A WORD FOR TODAY

Mary responded to Jesus' invitation to love one another and she spent the best she had to anoint Jesus' feet. This is simply expression of love in an extraordinary way. She experienced love from Jesus and she is making effort to show the same love to Christ.

By creating us God has shown us love and by letting our Lord Jesus Christ come to die for us He manifested His love for us in a very special and unconditional way. He expects us from time to time to reciprocate this love by loving our neighbour and by doing those things that will please Him.

True love is sacrificial and anyone who wish to follow the example of Jesus in love must be ready to make sacrifices. He gave up His life in order to save us and as His disciples we must give up our lives on a daily basis in order to bring joy and happiness in the lives of other people.

The example of Mary is a good response to God's love than that of Judas who is only interested in the money. True love must be selfless and it must cost you something if it is going to be authentic, real and acceptable before the Lord.

Do not waste time anymore, begin to spend yourself for the good of others in love just as our Lord Jesus Christ spent His life in love for us. He gave up everything in Him in order to set us free. When we love our fellow human beings we are actually loving God and this should always be our priority in life to love without measure as God has loved us.

Opportunities to love as Christ has loved us presents itself everyday and if we do not take them, we may never be able to love and we may never have the same opportunity again. Make use of the time you have now and love like Jesus and you will be happy forever.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you begin this day and do have a blessed new week ahead. May God's love for you move you to love others as you love yourself. And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Meditation: Isaiah 42:1-7/Psalm 27:1-3,13-14/John 12:1-11

Watch-Word: The Lord is my light and my salvation!

Jesus has spent Himself for us and following His example we must spend ourselves for others in order to be like Him.
