A WORD FOR TODAY 15 FEBRUARY 2021

*A WORD FOR TODAY

*DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND GOD WILL ACCEPT YOUR OFFERING

_"In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering"(Genesis 4:3-4)_

_*It is always dangerous to harbour resentment, bitterness and thirst for revenge in our heart, because we may not be able to control the corresponding outcome of our actions if we activate them and let them rule us.*_

_Bitterness and anger are sinful and if we do not tame them we may lose control, lose our temper and even commit a grave sin of killing others just like Cain did to Abel._

_*Cain felt rejected and that made him angry. However, his offering was rejected probably because he offered it to the Lord with an impure heart and it could not meet God's standard. The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable, how much more when brought with an evil intent.(Proverbs 21:27). We must always be ready to offer the Lord the best we can in terms of our gifts, offerings, possessions and life and He will accept it and bless us.*_

_This story teaches us that God is just and truth and cannot be deceived. If you do what is right you will be accepted, but if you do what is wrong, you will be rejected and every offering you offer will become abominable before Him. God is not interested in the quantity of our offering but in its quality which must come from a pure heart._

_*Everyday is an opportunity to do things right. Even if you have done it wrong before, you can hearken to God's voice and change your ways so that you may be saved and not be destroyed. Live a good life today, love one another and you will not be ruined by the spirit of jealousy and anger.*_

_We must grow ourselves spiritually so as to be able to tame our anger, control our temper and master the route through which sin comes to bring us down and in that way we will not yield to it, but conquer hatred and bitterness with love and joy._

_*We must also learn to rejoice with others who have achieved something we could not achieve. We must share in their joy and in that way we will be ready to receive our own blessings which will definitely come from the Lord at the appointed time.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day and blessed new week. May Jesus give you the grace to offer your best to Him as He has given His best to you. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Genesis 4:1-15,25/Psalm 50:1,8,16-17,20-21/Mark 8:11-13

*Watch-Word:* Give your praise as a sacrifice to God.

*When you give God your best, you position yourself to receive the best of the best from Him. Be generous and kind always.*
