A WORD FOR TODAY

HAVE FAITH IN GOD AND PREPARE FOR HEAVEN

_"Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest remains, let us fear lest any of you be judged to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them; but the message which they heard did not benefit them, because it did not meet with faith in the hearers."(Hebrews 4:1-2)._

_*As Christians we are in the world not for jamboree, but to serve God well so to be able to live with Him in heaven on the last day. The world as it is now is not our final abode and anyone who does not have this in mind will not be able to prepare for heaven.*_

_Our aim as followers of Christ will be to finish the race and go to heaven where we shall be with God and enjoy the beatific vision forever. However, for this to happen we must work for it and live our lives as those who are really preparing for heaven._

_*One of the best ways to prepare for heaven here on earth is to grow our faith in Christ and to believe in Him. He is the way that leads to life, therefore, if we put our trust in Him and do His will here in earth, we shall be with Him in heaven on the last day.*_

_Faith is very essential in our spiritual journey, because upon our faith we shall receive the spiritual strength and grace that keeps us going even when the going gets tough._

_*We see the power of faith in action in the gospel reading where these men who carried the paralytic to Jesus met the obstacle of the crowd and their faith moved them to push further through another way (the roof top) and got to Jesus who upon seeing their faith, not only forgave the sins of the paralytic, but also healed and restored him.*_

_We must grow in our faith and then focus more on the things that will make us to be able to enter into heaven, our place of rest on the last day. We must keep doing good and keep God's commandment. We must remain obedient to Him and in that way we shall be ready to dine with Him in the heavenly banquet._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May Jesus give you the grace to grow in your faith and to be obedient to Him at all times. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Hebrews 4:1-5,11/Psalm 78:3-4,6-8/Mark 2:1-12

*Watch-Word:* Never forget the deeds of the Lord.

*Work on yourself and grow in faith and you will be ready for the banquet when the Lord calls.*
