*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*STEP OUT OF DARKNESS AND WALK IN THE LIGHT*

_“What do you want me to do for you? He said, Lord, let me receive my sight. And Jesus said to him, Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”(Luke 18:4)_

_*We read again today in the gospel reading the beautiful story about the restoration of sight of the blind beggar who met Jesus by the road side. He was not comfortable with his blindness and when he saw the opportunity to be heard by the One who can help Him, he ceased it and made it count.*_

_Darkness is a very difficult thing and when someone is in darkness, visibility is reduced and your power to function to maximum capacity is also reduced. It was not easy for the blind beggar and he needed help._

_*The darkness of sin is even worse than physical blindness. Sin has blinded most of us in the sense that we now feel comfortable with evil and then feel aparthy when it comes to spiritual exercises. The love for the world has eaten deeper into us and blinded us from working and living in a manner that will merit us God's kingdom.*_

_The blind beggar is simply reminding us that we must not be comfortable when we are going down in sin. We must cry out to Jesus who can help us to step out of darkness and walk into light._

_*In the first reading of today we see what it means to be blind spiritually. Antiochus Epiphanes allowed the people to go back into evil and abandon the living God and that came at a cost.*_

_The darkness of wickedness, injustice, hatred, corruption, selfishness, idolatry and greed is destroying our world, but if we cry out to Jesus, He will save us and restore the light of our soul and we will shine brightly._

_*It is possible that when you want to come out of darkness, many things would want to hold you back, refuse to be held back, refuse to be shut down by the crowd, push harder and cry out the more and Jesus will hear your voice and He will come closer to you and open your eyes and you will go out with joy to tell the world what He has done for you and win more souls for Him.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a beautiful day and a blessed new week. May Jesus give you the grace to come out of darkness and walk in the light of His presence. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* 1 Maccabees 1:10-15,41-43,54-57,62-64/Psalm 119:53,61,134,155,158/Luke 18:35-43

*Watch-Word:* Receive your sight, your faith has made you well

_*Jesus can help you, cry out to Him with faith and your eyes will be opened and you can see well again and serve Him better*._
