A WORD FOR TODAY 16 DEC 2018

A WORD FOR TODAY

 Today is third Sunday of Advent in year C and it is regarded as the gaudete sunday. It simply means the Sunday of Joy. We must be Joyful because our Lord Jesus Christ is coming to save us and to bring us peace. He will be born and He will reign as King and His kingship will bring to us all the good that we desire.

 For our Joy to come and be intact we must strive to remove every element of anxiety from our heart. When we allow anxiety to set in, we will become fearful, worry much and we will not be able to receive the peace that surpasses all understanding.

 One of the ways in which we find joy in this life is to use what we have to bring joy in the hearts of others. When we show charity to the needy and live out our Christian calling with every element of sincerity, commitment and zeal to do good and avoid evil.

 Once you are willing and ready to share what you have with those who do not have for the sake of Christ,  your heart will be filled with Joy from above and this joy will never be taken away from you.

 We can face many challenges in this life that will produce sadness in our hearts, but when we let God's Spirit move us to do good, avoid oppression and injustice, we will receive the grace of God that will make us to remain cheerful and hopeful even when things are not going right.

 Where lies your joy? who is controlling your joy? Every joy you derive outside God will not last, but that which comes from doing God's will and Showing love and charity to the needy will always be the best and it is supposed to be the lot of every child of God who has placed His trust in the Lord.

 If you want your joy to come and to be permanent:

* Be humble and truthful

* Avoid oppression, injustice and intimidation of others.

* Share with others from what you have

*Be contented with what you have

* Seek for heavenly things, God's Kingdom and His righteousness always.

*Live a good, sincere, honest and truthful life.

 Good morning dearest one. Smile😊and do have a splendid Sunday. May God fill your heart with joy as you prepare to welcome His Son. Amen. And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
