A WORD FOR TODAY

CALL UPON THE LORD AND HE WILL HEAR AND HELP YOU

_"and hearing a multitude going by, he inquired what this meant. They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” And he cried, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”(Luke 18:36-38)_

_*God is always ready to come to our aid in our times of need, because He knows us and wants the best for us, but sometimes we fail to recognize his presence and we go after other gods rather than seeking help from Him.*_

_In the gospel reading of today we see how the blind man sitting by the road side begging for alms, recognized in Jesus the one who can help him and he did not waste time to cry out to Him. The people wanted to shut him up, but he cried out all the more and got the attention of Jesus._

_*When we have needs and cry unto Jesus from our heart, we will surely find the help we need. He is a compassionate God who is ever ready to help us in our times of trial and difficulty. All you need is to let Him know what He will do for you.*_

_The first step in getting help from the Lord is to recognize in Jesus the one who can help you, then you cry out to Him with faith as the blind man did. He did not allow the people to shut him up, but he persisted in his cry and Jesus heard his voice and restored his sight. What is that thing that is troubling you? Call upon Jesus with faith today and He will come to your aid._

_*He expressed his faith very firmly and he received God's blessings. We must learn to build up our faith so that in difficult times we will not give up, but hold unto God firmly.*_

_We can also pray to God to help us become strong and fervent in being his disciples again. If our love for God has grown cold as st. John tells us in the first reading, we can call on God who can help us with the grace of repentance so that we will go back to doing the things we do before that brings glory to His name._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day and blessed new week. May Jesus hear your voice when you call Him. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Revelation 1:1-4;2:1-5/Psalm 1:1-6/Luke 18:35-43

*Watch-Word:* I am the light of the world says the Lord, He who follows me will have the light of life.

*Do not stop growing in your faith, because with faith you call upon God and He will come and save you from your challenges.*
