A WORD FOR TODAY
BE ROOTED IN CHRIST JESUS
"In him, according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will, we who first hoped in Christ have been destined and appointed to live for the praise of his glory."(Ephesians 1:11-12)
The life we are to live here on earth must reflect our faith and belief in our Lord Jesus Christ. However, if we must be like Christ, our life must be rooted in Him.
God created us for a purpose and if we are going to fulfill our mission we must strive to have a grounded faith in Christ. This will help us to live an authentic life and spirituality and by so doing we will not be led astray or be pushed into doing what is evil in the sight of God.
A life that is rooted in Christ Jesus will not be afraid of anything, except to always seek to do what the Lord wants. We must strive to be just and kind and avoid acts and attitude of hypocrisy as found in the behavior of the Pharisees.
To be rooted in Christ is to take a stand where you belong. Those who come around you will know that you profess Christ in truth and in Spirit and it will help you to win a place in His kingdom on the last day._
If we become shallow in our faith, there will be no depth and when any little challenge and difficulty come around us, we will fall by the way side and we will also lose in the process.
The Holy Spirit has been given to us a guarantee of our inheritance in God's kingdom. Keep working hard and doing God's will through the grace of the Holy Spirit and you will be ready for the praise of His glory on the last day.
