A WORD FOR TODAY 17 JULY 2019

A WORD FOR TODAY

Today Moses was called by God and given a mission to go back to Egypt where he fled from to deliver the people of Israel who are being held captive. He was unworthy, but God sanctified him out of His love and mercy and made him worthy for the mission and task He has set out for him.

God is the one who makes the choice of those who will work for Him. Our task is to make ourselves available whenever we receive His invitation and He will transform us and use us as He pleases. He does not abandon those He has chosen, His love is always with them and helps them to carry out their function very well. Therefore, in serving God, do not look at your weakness, but on the strength and love of God who has called you to come and work for Him.

Approaching the presence of God we must be ready to remove the things that will make us unworthy to communicate with Him and then put on the garment of love and trust. We must put off sinful habits and attitudes and submit ourselves to God's mercy and love for purification.

God revealed who He was to Moses and Moses became a channel through whom God made Himself known to Pharaoh, the Egyptians and the people of Israel. The revelation of God to humanity continued until it came to fulfilment and completion in Christ. This means that if we accept Jesus and believe in Him we will know the Father who sent Him out of love to come and redeem us from sin.

Our God is compassionate and love and He does not allow us to be destroyed by those who hold us in captivity. He sends us help and comes to our aid. We must be ready always to cooperate with Him so that He will make use of us to save souls and to draw people closer to Himself.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May Jesus give you the grace and strength to draw closer to Him always in words and deeds. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
