A WORD FOR TODAY

The experience of the transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ on the mountain by Peter James and John, left a lasting impression on them and they never wanted to come down from the mountain, but to remain there savouring God's glory.

God revealed Himself to Abraham as we have in the first reading of today and he believed God with faith and it was counted for Him as righteousness. He obeyed God and God blessed Him and His entire descendants.

When we open our heart to encounter or experience God's glory through the sacraments, we must be ready to come down from the place of encounter to let others see God's glory through us. In order for us to enjoy the glory of Jesus we must be ready to bear the cross with Him.

We should not be enemies of the cross as saint Paul pointed out in the gospel, but people who are ready to suffer with Christ so as to enjoy His glory at the end of time. If we make a sincere and honest effort to follow Jesus now, we will definitely enjoy His glory when we come to the end of our earthly existence.

Jesus is ready to show Himself and His glory to us if we are ready to draw closer to Him. An encounter with Jesus will transform your life forever. Aim for heaven, aim for his glory by doing His will and you will enjoy His glory in full at the appointed time.

Do not let anything in this life distract you from focusing on doing your best to keep God's commandment, so that you will receive His blessings and enjoy His glory when He comes.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you begin your day and do have a blessed Sunday. May you feel God's glory as you go to mass today and may His glory transform your life. Amen.*And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The glory of the Lord is revealed everyday, but only those who are prepared to follow Him will see it. #Walk with the Lord.
