A WORD FOR TODAY

KEEP WORKING AND KEEP MAKING GAINS FOR GOD

_"And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the pound from him, and give it to him who has the ten pounds.’ (And they said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten pounds!’) ‘I tell you, that to every one who has will more be given; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away."(Luke 19:24-26)_

_*One of the greatest disaster that could happen to anyone on earth is to lose whatever you have gained as a result of inactivity. For instance, someone who has made tremendous progress in weight loss and all of a sudden stops making effort, the person may gain more weight than before and the attendant feeling of having failed could lead to depression in certain cases.*_

_Every process that is aimed at making positive gain in life must be a continuous one. You should never stop, but strive always to sustain the success you have recorded._

_*In the gospel reading of today Jesus tells a parable about the noble man who went to receive a kingly power, but gave money to his servants to trade with until he returns. Some made use of what was given to them and made gain and they were rewarded, but one chose not to do anything with what was given and he was chastised.*_

_God trusted us to bestow gifts upon us. He has given us the free will to do what we want with the gifts, but we must make sure that we are working hard to make gains with what is given to us because we shall give account someday._

_*Inactivity can make you go out of shape for a competition as an athlete. It can also put you out of business and more importantly it could make you be exposed to negative thoughts and practices that will make you become weak spiritually. There is need for us to keep doing good for God and humanity with what we have received so that we shall be rewarded on the last day.*_

_The easiest way to lose all you have gained is to stop working. God expects us to keep marching forward in this journey of faith. Anytime we stop moving forward we will go backwards which will never bring us any good. If you are faithful in the use of your gifts, God will give you more, but if you fail to use it for His own glory, even what you feel you have will be taken away from you and given to those who can use it to achieve greater things for Him._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed day. May God help you to be faithful in carrying out your responsibilities in life. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Revelation 4:1-11/Psalm 150:1-6/Luke 19:11-28

*Watch-Word:* Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty.

*Every good effort you make in life will surely bring you blessings. Therefore, never stop working hard.*
