*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*TAKE SUCCOUR IN GOD*

_For thou dost not give me up to Sheol, or let thy godly one see the Pit. Thou dost show me the path of life; in thy presence there is fullness of joy, in thy right hand are pleasures for evermore (Psalms 16:10‭-‬11)._‬‬‬

_*God sees us as his children. And every father will love to guide and guard his children so that they do not fall away, and so that they prosper and do well in life.*_

_Many times we call God father but do not whole heartedly follow him while he plays the role of father. A father shows the path to his children and guides them through._

_*God is always instructing us through his ministers and in several ways. We do not take note of this because we do not see God physically directing us. God is always looking for ways to bring us into his presence. God knows that his presence is full of joy and true pleasures that refresh us and vitalize us with life to meet our daily responsibilities and goals in life.*_

_Sadly, we have all sort of reasons to stay away from his presence even on Sundays. We give in to sins which take us away from God’s presence._

_*My dear friend, take succour in the presence of God. Take seriously the role of God as a father in your life. Let us do this and we will not regret it. The benefit of following the guidance of God is enormous.*_

_Our help is in God alone. God is our inheritance. He is the source of all the value we can get in our physical and spiritual lives. God is also the source of true joy and gladness. He is our way to fulfilment. He will surely provide all the grace we need. Our part is to stay with him and collaborate as good children._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a beautiful day. May the grace of God help you follow him. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Joshua 24:14–29 /Psalm 16:1–2a and 5, 7–8, 11 / Matthew 19:13–15

*Watch-Word:* You are my inheritance, O Lord.
God is our father. Let us accept his guidance.

(Saturday of the nineteenth week in the ordinary time.)
