*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS WORTH EVERYTHING*

_Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it (Matthew 13:45‭-‬46)._‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

_*Time is always moving. In fact we know that time waits for nobody. We can imagine that no one claims to have time because it is a gift to all, and everyone can use it as he or she pleases. The use of time is also not as important as the value one can get from the use of time.*_

_My dear one, our life is the measure of the time we have had; how we have used it and the value we have tried to gain from it. To waste time is to waste life. And life is just too precious to waste._

_*Although we have one life, it has two parts. The first is this one we have here on earth and the other comes next after this earth. The way you use your earthly life will determine how your eternity will be so do not joke with your life.*_

_Do all you can to make heaven. You may not realise the value of heaven until you miss it and that will be too late. Jesus tries to describe the value of heaven in todays gospel, suggesting that it is enough to give up every other thing so as to ‘purchase’ the treasure of heaven._

_*Make use of your time in order to acquire those things that will help you live by the commands of God. Make haste because time waits for nobody and tomorrow might be too late. Make sure that what ever you are doing will be a plus for you on judgment day. Be intentional about making heaven*_

_Let us begin this day with gratitude for all the graces God has blessed us with. Let us sing his praise. His grace is sufficient for us. God will not leave us alone to walk through time._

_*Attend to your work today, with renewed fervour knowing that using your time and life well, entails doing all things diligently.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a beautiful day. May the grace of God help you plan and use your time well. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Exodus 34: 29-35/Psalm 99:5.6.7.9/ Matthew 13:44-46

*Watch-Word:* Make sure your work has an eternal value

*Now is the time to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.*

(Tuesday of the Seventeenth week in the ordinary time.)
