A WORD FOR TODAY 20 JULY 2022

*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED*

_"Other seeds fell upon thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.”(Matthew 13:7-9)_

_*A farmer who goes to the farm to plant seeds and expects to have a good and bumper harvest, must have prepared the soil so that it will be fertile to produce rich and bountiful harvest.*_

_The gospel reading of today talks about the parable of the sower. Jesus used this parable to remind His disciples that they must open their hearts to receive the word of God so that their lives will be fruitful._

_*The sower of the seed is Christ who has planted his word in our hearts, but if we fail to open our hearts and be disposed to welcome His word, it will not take root in us and we will definitely not be able to bear good fruits.*_

_The seed that fell on the path was devoured by the birds of the air, that which fell on rocky ground was scorched by the sun, that which fell upon the thorns were choked up by it. Only the seed that fell on good soil produced and brought forth grain. This means that we must strive to remove from our lives anything that will make God's word not to take root in our hearts and make us to bear fruits for Him._

_*In the first reading of today, the prophet Jeremiah acknowledged that before he was born God knew who he will be and He appointed Him as a prophet to the nations. If we open our hearts to welcome God's word, our life will become a seed that will be sown everywhere to blossom and bear fruit for God.*_

_If you nourish your heart with God's word, you will be ready to bear good fruits for Him wherever you find yourself. We have all been planted like a seed in this life and we must strive to blossom, but for that to happen we must disconnect ourselves from everything that will become an obstacle for us to flourish, it may be place, people or things, just identify them, detach from them and you will be ready to soar greatly in the Lord._

_*God is sending you to go out and blossom, if you are not bearing fruits for him, it means that something is wrong, change your ways and attitude, be receptive to His word, meditate on it day and night and you will have the nourishment in your heart and soul to be the light of the world and change the face of the earth.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a lovely day. May Jesus give you the grace to bear fruits for Him everywhere you go. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Jeremiah 1:1,4-10/Psalm 71:1-6,15,17/Matthew 13:1-9

*Watch-Word:* The seed is the word of God and the sower is Christ.

*Be receptive to God's word and you will have the strength to blossom and prosper for the Lord.*
