*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*BE OBEDIENT TO THE LORD'S COMMAND ALWAYS*

_"But know this, that if the householder had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would have been awake and would not have left his house to be broken into. You also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”(Luke 12:39-40)_

_*In the first reading of today, St. Paul admonishes us not to let sin reign in our mortal bodies, but to yield ourselves to God in righteousness as people who have been brought from death to life.*_

_We have been bought with a price, the blood of Jesus, and we are expected to submit to Him at all times. We must become slaves of righteousness and aim always to do what is right and in that way sin will not have dominion over us._

_*We are pilgrims on earth and we shall return back to the Lord someday to give an account of our stewardship. Therefore, it is very expedient that we stay focused and alert and keep doing good so that when the master returns we shall be found worthy to receive a reward from Him.*_

_There is no need for us to loose-guard, instead we should keep doing what is right in the sight of God. We must never let the things of this life become a distraction to us to the extent that we pay attention to them more than God himself._

_*Obedient to the Lord's command is the key to our happiness here on earth and in the world to come. We must strive everyday to do what the Lord wants and in that way we shall be ready when He comes. Faithfulness to God is not negotiable, we must serve Him well here on earth and we shall have eternal life in the end.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a lovely day. May Jesus give you the grace to obey Him always. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Romans 6:12-18/Psalm 124:1-8/Luke 12:39-48

*Watch-Word:* To whom much is given, much us expected

_*Be obedient to the Lord and He will reward you abundantly when He returns.*_
