A WORD FOR TODAY*

*KEEP YOUR LIGHT BURNING ALWAYS*

_“No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, that those who enter may see the light."(Luke 8:16)._

_*Light is something we cannot do without in the world. In the cycle of time, we have the day and we have the night. When the day comes, everywhere glows and shines and we can see, but when the night comes, visibility is reduced and people retire to rest.*_

_Our Lord Jesus Christ reminds us in the gospel reading of today that our light must keep shinning. We are like a lamp that is lit and we must keep burning brightly so that others will see with our light and follow the Lord._

_*Jesus has put his light in us, but we must protect this light and guard it from being put off by forces of darkness. We must strive everyday to shine brightly in words and actions so as to inspire and edify others. We must fervently stay connected to Jesus so that we will keep burning brightly as His children.*_

_If you make use of your gifts for the glory of God and to serve makind, God will bless you more and give you greater gifts to be placed at the service of His people in the world. Therefore, do not be selfish with your gifts. Let your light shine and illuminate the place where you are._

_*The light of Christ must be shared. Staying in darkness will do you no good. Tap into this light and begin to live it out in attitude and behavior. Let the world see the light of Christ in you in what you do and say and may they follow it to come out of their darkness.*_

_God's light can be illuminated from wherever you are. Keep doing what is right and your light will continue to shine. Stay away from darkness and everything the represents it and you will be a winner in the end._

_*Today we celebrate the memorial of Saints Andrew Kim Taegon, Paul Chong Hasang and their companions. They are martyrs of Korea who gave their lives for the sake of the gospel. Their light is still shinning beyong their death and this should be a message for us today.*_

_Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May Jesus help you to keep shinning as the light always. Amen. *And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Ezra 1:1-6/Psalm 126:1-6/Luke 8:16-18

*Watch-Word:* What great deeds the Lord worked for us.

*Keep shinning for the Lord in words and deeds and you will be happy in the end.*

(Monday of the twenty fifth week in the ordinary time, Year 1. Memorial of Saints Andrew Kim Taegon & Companions.)
