A WORD FOR TODAY

Today is Easter Sunday, the day we commemorate and celebrate the Solemnity of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was tortured, killed and buried and the people felt that they have destroyed Him forever. However, He rose from the dead and by His resurrection has redeemed us and set us free from the power of sin and death.

This is the day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. We will rejoice because Jesus conquered death on a cross and His victory is unquestionable and irrevocable. He has reconciled us to the Father and we can confidently come into His presence and enjoy His glory.

We must confidently, without fear, witness for this mystery of our faith. We must let the world know about Jesus and what He has done for us. This is what saint Peter did in the first reading of today. He spoke about Jesus without fear and our witness of Jesus and for Him must begin immediately without delay.

In order for us to be able to witness for Jesus we must seek the things that are above and fix our minds on them as children of the resurrection. Our attitude in words and action must reflect the one whom we represent. Yes! Jesus is risen, we must let the world know about it, but it will make much impact when our behaviour reflects what we preach.

Jesus Christ is risen and we must rise with Him and let the grace of His resurrection manifest in us. We must build on the good things we have achieved through our Lenten observances and practice and rise with Jesus to become better persons for Him, for ourselves, for the church and for the society.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊and do have a a magnificent Easter celebration. May the resurrection power continue to work in you to give you life and happiness. Amen. And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy spirit. Amen.

Meditation: Acts 10:34, 37-43/Psalm 118:1-2,15-17,22-23/Colossians 3:1-4/John 20:1-9

Jesus is Risen! We must rejoice and we must let the world know that He is alive forever. HAPPY EASTER CELEBRATION!
