A WORD FOR TODAY

The priest is chosen from among men to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins for his own sins and that of others.

The priest does not take the honour upon himself, but has been called in spite of his weaknesses. Everyday he strives to work out his salvation with fear and trembling and leads others to Christ.

It is by God's grace that the priest is who he is. He can make mistake, he can get angry, he can get tired and weak, he can fall, but he is always conscious of who he is in Christ and continues to make effort to be better so as to be able to lead others in the right path.

The priest can do more work for God and humanity so long as he is connected to Christ in a special way. Any attempt to stay away from Christ who is the owner of the vineyard will bring failure.

We have the responsibility to pray for our priests and support them as much as we can in living out their vocation with the fear of God. Pray for them that the grace of God in them will continue to help them to live an exemplary life that will inspire those they lead to always seek the face of God.

Today we Celebrate the memorial of Saint Agnes who not only lived a life as a virgin, but also laid down her life like Jesus as a martyr. She was not afraid to die for the sake of Christ and today she is in heaven interceding for us.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊 as you do your work and do have a fantastic day and week ahead. May God's grace in you continue to help you to live a good and holy life like Saint Agnes. Amen. And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Meditation: Hebrews 5:1-10/Psalm 110:1-4/Mark 2:18-22

Watch-Word: You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek of old!

We have all been chosen by Christ to go out and bear fruits for Him in our various vocations. Do not let anything stop you from achieving that.
