A WORD FOR TODAY

FEAR NOT! YOU ARE VALUABLE TO JESUS, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU

"Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So every one who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven; but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 10:31-33)

There are two prominent things in life, above other attendant factors that will make you not to achieve your set goals. These are: fear and also having a negative self-image. Anyone who is controlled by fear can never take a leap of faith with courage and anyone who looks down on himself or herself can never soar higher in life like the eagles.

You can only do very little and may not achieve anything meaningful when you are controlled by fear. This is true both on the physical and spiritual level. When you are afraid, it will be very difficult for you to move further in journey of your life. The only way you can overcome is to conquer your object of fear and take control of your life once again and you will be able to rise and blossom._

Do not let people make you to look down on yourself and begin to doubt whether God loves you or has blessed you at all. The gospel reading of today tell us that the hair on our head has been numbered by God and we are of more value than many sparrows and other creatures of God. Therefore, have a positive self-image and know that God will never abandon you. Stay focused and keep doing the right thing and you will keep winning. Those who will fight you or persecute you are simply persons who are jealous or bitter about the good you achieve through your goodness and love which people experience and testify.

The prophet Jeremiah in the first reading of today experienced persecution and hatred in the hands of the people, but their wickedness did not stop him from speaking the truth to them. He refused to be put down by fear, instead, he put his hope in the Lord who will take care of Him and fight his battle.

We should fear and reverence God because He alone has the power to kill both body and soul. Do not be afraid of those who can only kill the body, but can do nothing to your soul. You are of much value to God and you are made in His image and likeness, therefore, ooze with confidence and have a high and positive self-esteem about yourself and in that way you will courageously tell the world about your God and you will be proud of Him anyday and anytime.

Never stop witnessing for Jesus because of fear of what people will say or do to you. Take courage and speak about Him always even if it will cost you your life and you will be rewarded on the last day because He will acknowledge you before His Father in heaven._

Do not let fear paralyze you and make you lose blessings, do not let fear make you remain in bondage and be a slave, do not let fear cripple you and make you become weak spiritually. Rise up, conquer your fear, believe in God who loves you, believe that you are wonderfully made in His image and likeness and do not let anyone through their words, actions or attitudes tell you otherwise.*_

Some Scriptural examples of fear and how to conquer it.

Numbers 13 and 14 the story of the men that were sent to spy on the promised land of Canaan. Joshua and Caleb represent courage while the rest of the men represent fear. The same could be said of David and the army of Saul in 1 Samuel 17. David conquered Goliath when others were afraid to fight him, because He knew God was with him and He believed He will never fail him._

You become afraid when you know that the weapons of your warfare are carnal, but fear disappears from your system when you realize that the weapons of your warfare are divine and mighty and can pull down strongholds. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).*_

Two types of people exist in life: those who will feed your fear and make you to remain in chains forever (they manufacture fear, market fear, sell fear and distribute it) and those who will feed your heart with courage to break away from the shackles of fear and rise up again and become useful to yourself and humanity and also become a great instrument of evangelization in the hands of God. Which of these two are you?

The Lord tells us in Isaiah 43:1-7 “......Fear not for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are mine.....”. We must take courage and continue to witness for Christ. We must not let sin take hold of us so that we will become instruments of wickedness in the hands of the devil, instead, we should connect to Jesus who has saved us through his death so that we shall live righteously in God’s love where fear will have no grip on us anymore (1 John 4:18). Activate your faith in Christ and fear will vanish from your life.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊 as you begin your day and do have a miraculous Sunday. May God give you the courage to testify for Him here in earth do that you will be with Him in heaven. Amen. *And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Meditation: Jeremiah 20:10-13/Psalm 69:8-10,14,17,33-35/Romans 5:12-15/Matthew 10:26-33

Watch-Word: Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

If you choose to live in fear, you may never achieve anything in this life. Set yourself free from fear and you will be on your way to greatness once again.
