A WORD FOR TODAY

TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS EXPECTED

_"But he who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, shall receive a light beating. Every one to whom much is given, of him will much be required; and of him to whom men commit much they will demand the more."(Luke 12:48)_

_*Today's gospel reading continues from that of yesterday, where Our Lord Jesus Christ was telling His disciples to be ready for the coming of the Son of man. The master will come at an hour we do not except, therefore, we must be prepared at all times.*_

_The Lord has committed much to us as His children and we have the responsibility to carry out our task in a manner that will be pleasing to Him so that we may find eternal reward when He returns._

_*The best thing to do is to keep doing that which will bring glory and honour to the name of the Lord and when He comes, He will reward you for the good you have done. However, if one chooses to get distracted and stop doing what is expected, the person will also receive the reward of chastisement from the Lord when He returns.*_

_There is no time to waste, we must stay focused and keep doing the will of the master. We must remain faithful and do the things that will add value to the lives of those around us and not what will wound them._

_*We must not misuse our opportunities here on earth, because the day of reckoning must surely come. We have received much from God and we have to deliver or we will be punished and cast out of the kingdom. Do not leave anything undone, Now is the time to be good, because tomorrow may never come. Keep living well, keep doing well, love more, be good and kind to others and you will be rewarded when the time comes.*_

_God expects much from you as a priest, seminarian religious, Engineer, teacher student, business man or woman, politician, lawyer, farmer, e.t.c we have received much from Him and we do not have any reason why we will not administer his goods well and present a good account on the last day._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a wonderful day. May God help you not to waste your opportunities to do His will here on earth. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.*_

*Meditation:* Ephesians 3:2-12/Isaiah 12:2-6/Luke 12:39-48

*Watch-Word:* Watch, therefore, and be ready; the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

*Keep doing good and you will be ready when the master returns. No time to waste*
