A WORD FOR TODAY

The command of Jesus after His resurrection is that we should go out without fear to witness for Him. This is what Peter did in the first reading. Filled with the Holy Spirit He addressed the people without fear and witnessed for Jesus. Before now he was weak and impetuous, but with the grace of Christ he became strong and courageous and He spoke about Jesus without fear.

Rejoicing about Jesus' resurrection is good, but we must go beyond feeling joyful in our hearts to proclaiming His name everywhere in words and actions. We may face challenges and oppositions, but because Jesus is with us we will never be broken.

People can do so many things to stop others from knowing the truth and from coming to Christ. We must not let anyone or anything stop us from witnessing for Jesus, but we must keep proclaiming Him because there are many souls to be saved.

Jesus is risen and He has given us the grace and power to be His ambassadors, we must rise and begin to do this work responsibly and with commitment. God needs to win more souls into His kingdom and we have a part to play in this project as His children.

Begin to share the Good News and you will be spreading the light and the message that will change the face of the earth and move people to repentance and also help them to be the light of the the word.

If you continue to live in fear, you will never be able to proclaim Jesus. Since Jesus has risen, He has given us the power and command to share the message of salvation with others and we must continue to do so in season and out of season.

Jesus is Risen! Tell the world about Him and He will always be there to keep you safe at all times and in all places.
