A WORD FOR TODAY

Most times in life we tend to hate people and reject them simply because we see them as rivals and that makes us to do them harm or block any opportunities that should come to them.

The brothers of Joseph in the first reading simply hated him and planned to do away with him because of jealousy and hatred not knowing that the one they want to kill will become their saviour in the future. The same experience is seen in the gospel reading where hatred, greed and selfishness moved the people to kill the servants and son of the owner of the vineyard.

God who created us has given us specific gifts and roles to play in this life. There is no need for you to plan to destroy another person because you do not like him or you are not comfortable with his or her achievements. God's ways are not the way of men. Learn to be patient and accomodate others and allow God to do what He wants to do in us in His own way.

Hatred and jealousy does no one any good. It does not make you better or great, but simply increases your sadness and frustrations, because the person you project your venom of hatred upon will continue to shine and blossom.

We are called in this season of Lent to love more and hate no more. Be envious and jealous of no one but support others who are doing well so that they excel more and then make use of your own gift well and be contented with what you achieve.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a lovely day. May God's grace help you to support others who are doing well so that they will excel. And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Meditation: Genesis 37:3-4,12-13,17-28/Psalm 105:16-21/Matthew 21:33-43,45-46

Watch-Word: The stone which the builders have rejected has become the corner stone.

Never you hate anyone because they are doing better than you. Give them support and God will be happy with you.
