_"Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw nigh, when you will say, I have no pleasure in them”(Ecclesiastes 12:1)_

_*In the first reading of today, the author of the the book of Ecclesiastes reminds us of a very important truth we must hold dear to our heart as we journey in life. It is the fact that this earthly life is short, therefore, you must make the best out of it before you leave the scene.*_

_It reminds us to serve the Lord in the days of our youth. This simply means that we must honour the Lord with our life and energy while we are still young, we must not postpone it till when we are old, because we do not know what tomorrow holds for us._

_*The youthful age is not just a time to seek for wealth and pleasure and focus on material acquisition. It should be a time to be close to God and to love and serve Him with all our hearts and mind and to show others that we belong to Christ by the things we do.*_

_A youth who know God and serve Him from the heart is a blessing to his or her generation. We must never procrastinate or abandon God in days of our youth because of the things of this life, because they are all vanities and are passing away, but if we are to love God, we must serve Him and be ready to die for Him._

_*Jesus has shown us the way to follow and that is the way of the cross and sacrifice. Anyone who wish to follow Him must go through that way. This is what He told His disciples in the gospel reading but they did not understand.*_

_Life is short and our stay on earth is limited, Follow Jesus' way, serve Him with all your heart. Use your youthful age and energy to bring glory to His name and when it is time to depart this world, you will be proud of what you have achieved in His name and you will be greatly rewarded._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a beautiful weekend. May Jesus give you the grace to live a good life for Him here on earth. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Ecclesiastes 11:9-12:8/Psalm 90:3-6,12-14,17/Luke 9:43-45

*Watch-word:* O Lord you have been our refuge from generation to generation.

*Use this moment you have wisely because you will not always have it. Life is short and time flies.*
