A WORD FOR TODAY

BE READY AT ALL TIMES

_But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it"(Luke 21:20-21)_

_*As we gradually come to the end of the liturgical year, we are reminded in the readings of the need to prepare for the end of time which must surely come. The time is not known, but it will definitely come, therefore, the best thing to do is to be ready at all times.*_

_When we play our part in getting ready for the coming of the Son of man, we will not be caught unawares by the events that will happen before He comes._

_*Jesus in the gospel reading reminded His disciples that the only way to overcome in the time of tribulation and distress that will come upon the world is to stay at alert and keep doing the right thing.*_

_The way to be ready is to stay focused on the crown you are going to receive on the last day from the Lord and then you try your best not to let distraction set in and make you not to do the right thing to please the Lord._

_*We must stand erect, look up, raise our heads high, because our redemption is drawing near. To stand erect is to keep doing good and living a life worthy of our calling. Be ready at all times for the Lord will come at a time you do not expect.*_

_When you are expecting the Lord to come, you do not need to go to sleep or be playing around. You just need to be doing the things that will make the Lord to be happy with you when He comes and that is to be good and kind to others around you._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a blessed day. May God's grace help you to be watchful and ready always. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.*_

*Meditation:* Revelation 18:1-2,21-23;19:1-3,9/Psalm 100:1-5/Luke 21:20-28

*Watch-Word:* Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the lamb.

*Keep doing good and never get tired, because when the Lord returns, your reward will be given to you.*
