Today we celebrate the feast of the Apostle and Evangelist John the beloved. He is a brother to saint James and one of the close companions of our Lord Jesus and he played a central role in many of the events in the life of Jesus. He was there at the transfiguration, crucifixion and the discovery of the resurrection. He is the disciple that Jesus handed His mother over to at calvary. He wrote a gospel, three epistles and the book of Revelation.

John was indeed a great apostle because he encountered Jesus and he loved him and devoted his life in serving Him. He was privileged among the other apostles to have a very close encounter with the Lord and this made him to have so many things he had to say about our Lord Jesus Christ.

He believed in Jesus and He witnessed for Him. We must learn from him to strive everyday to believe in the Son of Man and to be ready to witness for Him everywhere.

Carrying out this task of witnessing could be very challenging, but the reward is very fulfilling. God will always be with us when we proclaim His name for the salvation of the people. John witnessed with his words and actions and he wrote many wonderful things about Jesus which has made us to have a deep knowledge and understanding of the mystery of our salvation.

As our Lord Jesus Christ called John and he left everything and followed Him, we have also been called and if we can answer as he answered Jesus, He will definitely use us to do great things in this life.

Let God make use of you for His own glory. It will only take your total submission and willingness to be a channel of of God's grace and mercy in this life. God is ready if you are ready.

Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a fantastic day. May Jesus be the reason of your joy in this life and may He bless the world through you. Amen. And May the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
