A WORD FOR TODAY 27 JANUARY 2021

*A WORD FOR TODAY*

*TO BEAR FRUITS, WE MUST STAY CONNECTED TO JESUS

_"And other seeds fell into good soil and brought forth grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”And he said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”(Mark 4:8-9)_

_*It is a concrete reality that the nature of the soil where a seed is planted will play a big role in what the seed becomes. This means that if the soil is good, the seed planted in it will be good, but if the soil is bad, it will be difficult for the seed to germinate.*_

_Today we are presented with the parable of the sower and the seed in the gospel reading. The sower went out to sow and some seeds feel along the path, some fell on rock, some on thorns and others fell on goog soil. In the final analysis, it is only the seed that feel on good soil that produced abundant of fruits._

_*Jesus has sown His word in us and if we are going to bear fruits for Him we must make sure that our hearts remain good and fertile. When our heart is os filled with evil, it will be very difficult for us to bear fruits for Christ. Therefore, it is our responsibility to always remove from our hearts everything evil so that we may be disposed to do good and plesse the Lord through our works.*_

_If we are solidly rooted in Christ, we will always be willing and ready to do what He wants and when we obey Him, we will be happy and His name will be glorified. If we are going to bear fruits of love, peace, compassion, wisdom, joy, patience, humility, charity, kindness, honesty and so on, we must make sure that we are connected to Jesus and in that way we will be able to bear the fruits that will last._

_*Our Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal high priest who has offered one single and perfect sacrifice that brought us salvation and as such we must love Him and let His word take root in us. We must open our heart and let Him come in and dwell with us and we shall be ready always to bear fruits that will abide.*_

_We must work on our heart everyday so that we will have a wonderful and good disposition to receive His Word and in that way we will be ready to bear fruits for Him. What soil are you? What fruits are you bearing? Fix your heart and you will bear good fruits for Christ who has called you to come and follow Him._

_*Good morning dearest one. Smile😊as you do your work and do have a magnificent day. May God's grace help you to disconnect your heart from every material attachment so that His word will bear fruits in you. Amen. And may the Almighty God bless you: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.*_

*Meditation:* Hebrews 10:11-18/Psalm 110:1-4/Mark 4:1-20

*Watch-Word:* The seed is the word of God, the sower is Christ and the soil is our heart.

*Make your heart receptive of God's word and you will be ready to bear the kind of fruits that will please Him.*
